I have a couple of new customers with their Unix/Windows servers going out
the door right now (including one installation where the iSeries solution
was 40% more expensive than upgrading the incumbent solution and the IT guy
has an NT background). And we have another major one (with a big, tired
Sequent server) in the wings.

Just imagine what we could do if we could get Big Blue squared away on a few
things...pricing, AD tools, and UI come to mind...

Subject: iSeries replaces Unix

LEAD STORY

CHICK'S SUITS UP WITH ISERIES | iSeries Network
Chick's, a Southern California sporting goods company known for its
superstore outlets, has become IBM's dream customer by dropping its
Unix server in favor of an iSeries. Chick's didn't stop there. The
retailer liked IBM so much, they integrated a slew of IBM offerings
into their systems. (Free registration to this site required.)

Unfortunately, the Unix system replaced was... an RS/6000.
