I rewrote my program to use command objects, connection objects and parameters and it still fails with that error. I downloaded the sample code from IBM and ran the program that that had a similar type of call and it also bombs out. I installed CAE 5.1 a week or so ago (when I had done this before over a year ago the code worked andit was on CAE4.4). The AS/400 is still 4.4. Any possible issues with the OLE DB provider maybe?
