Rob, For those who don't have the luxury of multiple machine (either separate boxes or partitions), waiting for the second cume is always going to be a good idea. They are putting their production platforms on the line and do not have a great deal of time to deal with the things that crop up. I think there will always be a cadre of folks who will do that initial testing at first availability: - business partners and software vendors who need to test their applications. - customers such as yourself who have test/development platforms. - customers who take delivery of a machine with the default of the current recently-released OS. I don't think that I would be worried about the pace of release adoption slowing down; particularly now that LPAR can be implemented on a partial processor. I think more people may take advantage of test environments as this capability becomes more widespread.
