This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] While I prefer using Dave Leland's SNDEMAIL versus SNDDST I have a number of existing applications which use SNDDST, including our cruddy paging software from the dolts at LXI. (Message toned down to not get rejected). We've switched paging companies - not paging software. This new paging company has a dash in their email address. Evidently SNDDST does not allow you to use a dash in an email address if you send out with *MSG and not *LMSG. Regardless of the amount of money I throw at IBM, they have no intention of fixing SNDDST. Their suggestion is to change all of my existing applications to use *LMSG. Here is the hoot. My paging software doesn't not directly support an @ sign in an email address. Therefore I cannot send email using SNDDST with the *LMSG option. The paging company says they are working on a new version that will imbed their own emailing - (the b*st*rds will probably try to charge extra for that). They also claim to be improving the error recovery on communication sessions. But, after harping on them for years to finally admit they need to do so, I don't know if I can wait for them to actually make the change. But I don't know if I have a choice. The boss won't spring for new paging software - even when enticed with discounts.
