RE: Outrageous prices real?

I take it you must be fairly new to pricing AS/400 software.

You can't buy any AS/400 software for under $2,000 for even small utilities 
(with the exception of freeware/shareware/GPL/etc...) and just about any 
program is at least $10,000 to $20,000, with full applications running in the 
$100,000+ range.

It comes from having a small target audience.

Who buys this? And why?

We are a small shop.
We want to generate and distribute reports, economically.
