I'll try that. Unfortunately, there's no *CALC for the FROMCCSID() parm.
I've used 1252 because that's the value I've seen in files created by
Windows in the IFS. Of course, that's probably no guarantee. Maybe *PCASCII
is the value to use here in the US.
