Have you ended the writer and restarted it ? This should be all you need to
do.

Does the outqueue description definitely use a host name ?  I have quite a
few outqueues that use the IP address rather than host name;  my experience
has been that host name is not as reliable as the IP address for some reason.

I know I should use host names - I must revisit which is better address or
host name :)
