Although I deeply appreciate the efforts to get to the root of this problem,
I'm afraid that I have to move on. Even though I still get the error message
it doesn't interfere with the file transfer so I have a solution to the
problem.

        Could you post the OVRDBF commands you are using, the FTP command,
and the
        first 3 - 4 lines of your script file?  ("x'ing" out any IP address
and
        password of course.)  That may spark some more ideas.
