Got me, Albert. I would think that it would still do it interactively. You may gain some insight by putting your client in debug mode so you can see the commands that are sent. Instead of giving it your real host name/IP, start FTP interactively this way, giving it a nonexistant host name X: FTP RMTSYS(X) This will start the client (with a host not found error) but you will not be connected to a server. The reason for this is we want to be able to turn on debug before we connect and login to the server. Then do: DEBUG OPEN yourftpserver userid password QUIT With debug turned on, you should see some extra messages that may provide insight. You can also adapt this to your batch environment if you want to compare what goes on. -Marty --__--__-- From: "York, Albert" <albert.york@nissan-usa.com> To: "'midrange-l@midrange.com'" <midrange-l@midrange.com> Subject: RE: Problem with FTP script file Date: Mon, 22 Jul 2002 09:46:38 -0700 Reply-To: midrange-l@midrange.com Thanks. How come it doesn't happen when I do it interactively? Albert
