You're probably not SUPPOSED to, but I have switched a
3590 amongst 3 partitions, just by moving the cable from
one to the other, hot. It worked like a charm. Devices
got activated nicely, etc. Of course, that was while at
the lab in Rochester last year, so problems has lots of
support  :-)
