Bob, The printer isn't an IPDS printer. It is a PS and PCL printer. Nathan, Check the document. There is a device associated with it and that is probably an IPDS printer. If memory serves me correct (and it often doesn't), this is on the Exit screen and there is an option that says "print options" or something like that. Make sure you are pointed at a non-ipds printer. CreatePrint is a forms package. When you send output to a printer the CreatePrint software intercepts the file and if the formtype of the *SPLF matches a CreatePrint formtype the *SPLF data is manipulated to look the way you want it to look and graphics added if required. The problem is that CreatePrint doesn't support *IPDS. And from whar I understand OV/400 or our version of it is printing output using *IPDS. The SPLF needs to *SCS or *USERASCII. So we need to change the output to one of the latter two options. I'm not familar with "CreatePrint", but OV400 "can" use a IPDS printer if you wish. IPDS is a hardware/software combo that requires both parts to work correctly. You can "emulate" IPDS with HPT but the results are often not satisfactory. You don't really "tinker" with IPDS, youy either have or not... Try to describe "CreatePrint" and what you are attempting to do and we could be of more help.
