Brian,

There are settings within email which control whether or not large
messages are split up.  These have nothing to do with PDF file
generation.  Are you able to send similarly sized attachments which are
not PDFs.  If you haven't tried, give it a shot.  The problem may be in
your TCP/IP configuration.
