Something in the VPN and the Shiva is doing it. CA ia using telnet... what happens thru either with a plain Jane windows telnet session? __________________________________________________ Kirk Goins IBM Certified iSeries Technical Solutions Expert Pacific Information Systems - An IBM Premier Business Partner 503-674-2985 kirkg@pacinfosys.com -----Original Message----- From: Graves, Chuck [mailto:cgraves@roddapaint.com] Sent: Wednesday, June 12, 2002 9:14 AM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Client Access timeouts??? This has probably been answered before but.... Why does my client access session(s) disconnect after approx. 15 minutes of inactivity? (not touching the keyboard). This happens either over a dial-up session (to a SHIVA box) OR through an internet VPN connection. In either case, the connection does NOT drop, just the client access session. This DOES NOT Happen locally.... only via remote connection. And as I stated, the connection does not drop...the VPN is still active, the dial-up connection is still connected..... _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
