There are a few firms that retrieve source code. I have used Ken Kelley's
firm in the past (ASC) for RPG, and had OK results.

The bottom line is that retrieving source is more of an art than a science,
and you need to verify/debug the retrieved code after you get it back.

Does anybody out there have a system with a COBOL/400 compiler that can
help me get a piece of source code compiled back to V4R1?

Hold your teasing...:-))

I have no idea why this company hasn't kept up with the times. I just had a
request from another of our consultants who got a call out of the blue from
this company.

If you can help, I'll email you the save file containing the source and you
can email back the object code.

Thanks,

Paul Nelson
