are you able to pass a printout of your hardware config ?
you can email me privately, if you want to.
I could have a closer look at controllers, busses and disk type and those
things that make a difference in performance.
Perhaps a screenshot of a typical wrksyssts display would be fine as well.

Did you check all suspicious SST-log entries about any degradation
of the system (disk controllers ?). System values ?
Did you turn on expert cache ?
