As you say, for good or ill, probably IE.

A problem might arise due to different disk formatting on AS/400s vs
Windows. They solved it for Linux, but this might need a separate drive.

Speaking of which, how could IBM justify the cost for drives in a laptop
that they do on the bigger iron?
