The fundamental ILE concept to always keep in the forefront of your mind is that programs running in the same activation group work together. They share overrides, open files, memory and so on. Please remember that the default activation group (where OPM programs run) is an activation group, and that OPM programs currently exhibit this sharing behaviour. ILE activation groups will make this sharing more granular that the entire job. Without trying to sound overly dramatic, it sounds as if you already have decided to convert these to ILE. Why? What's the application need for ILE? If you say 'my overrides don't work like they used to' then you may need to have a stare at the ILE Concepts manual.
