Basically, they will reinstate retroactive maintenance by charging you for as long as you were off (up to one year). Since I wasn't doing this because "the hardware maint is so expensive", but instead just because I didn't know, my back payment is only the month I've been off. Had I been slacking off for a year, then I'd have to pay for a year of maintenance. This seems to be a reasonable way to do things. In fact, I'd probably charge a small percentage premium if it were me. Joe
