Since 1985 working on the Sys/38 and AS/400 I personally NEVER have had any data corrupted except for my program's fault or because of our faulty backup routines while using 3370 disk drives on the SYS/38 (remember those?). I did have our disk drive call IBM (without the onsite staff ever knowing there was a problem) to look at the disk drive (that never failed). John Carr ---------------------------------------- Has anyone EVER suffered data corruption on their 400 business data bases or ever heard of it happening for some reason other than failure of hard drives, damaged objects, human error, software bugs, PC user in middle of doing some update & the connection gets lost & the software was not written good enough to recover from that scenario, malicious activity like hacker or someone who lost their job & took improper action? Feel free to reply to me off list about this.
