I would add:

11. Prepare to be overwhelmed! You will feel GORGED with knowledge after
about three days.

12. In light of number 11, plan an afternoon to relax. See the area ...
visit the pool ... SOMETHING, ANYTHING besides techie stuff. You brain will
thank you.

MANY things come to mind:

1. PLAN YOUR AGENDA BEFORE SUNDAY. Print the schedule from the web and
decide your primary and alternate sessions. Take a copy of the room
layouts and that day's schedule with you ONLY. DO NOT take the full
book...it's dead weight when you need to boogie...make sure to resync your
schedule with the morning Greenstreak (or whatever it's called) each
morning.

2. Dress comfy. You WILL be doing alot of walking.

3. Bring a small Jansport backpack or equivalent...something you can wear
vs having to carry...keeps hands free.

4. Eat a good b'fast in the morning...the day gets long, fast and furious
and you may not have time to hunt for a munchies venu

5. Bring several pens and a highlighter.

6. Bring a laser pointer if you have one...makes pointing out your
question easier...and you never know when the speakers is gonna crapout.

7. GOTO SOUNDOFF...Al's presentation is usual very inlightening...and
sometimes amusing...

8. Go by the LUG booth and get your midragne-l, MI400 and I Love LUG's
pin...get them now while they last cuz I'm not planning on having any more
made once these are gone...

9. Bring a few fed-x waybills with you....and a roll of packing tape.
It's ALOT easier to tape up whatever you want and have it fed-x'd from
your hotel than to drag it wherever...

10. walk through the venu rooms so that you have a clue what rooms are
where so you don't look like a wandering sheep in between sessions trying
to find your rooms...
