You are correct, CPYTOIMPF is for copying to the NFS/IFS.

Yes here goes:

In fact when I first tested the CPYTOIMPF, I specified as the TOSTMF
parameter : QSYS.LIB/WORKSNDM.LIB/ZTEST2.FILE/ZTEST2.MBR.
And this gave rise to the error message I mentionned.

HOWEVER, after doing some reading on the web, where it is mentionned that
AS400 documents are in fact stream files, I created a folder AATEST and in
the TOSTMF parameter I specified:
qdls/aatest/ztest2

And it works! a document called ztest2 is created in that folder, and which
I can e-mail as an attachment.

Does it mean that stream files cannot exists as 'traditional' objects in a
library and has to be in folders? Why does the
QSYS.LIB/WOR .... syntax does not work?
