You are correct, CPYTOIMPF is for copying to the NFS/IFS. ----- Original Message ----- From: <DAhKow@ibl.intnet.mu> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Wednesday, 19 September 2001 19:22 Subject: Re: CPYTOIMPF to a stream file (was: Using Telnet in Batch mode) > Norm wrote: > Can you post the CPYTOIMPF command string from your test. Yes here goes: In fact when I first tested the CPYTOIMPF, I specified as the TOSTMF parameter : QSYS.LIB/WORKSNDM.LIB/ZTEST2.FILE/ZTEST2.MBR. And this gave rise to the error message I mentionned. HOWEVER, after doing some reading on the web, where it is mentionned that AS400 documents are in fact stream files, I created a folder AATEST and in the TOSTMF parameter I specified: qdls/aatest/ztest2 And it works! a document called ztest2 is created in that folder, and which I can e-mail as an attachment. Does it mean that stream files cannot exists as 'traditional' objects in a library and has to be in folders? Why does the QSYS.LIB/WOR .... syntax does not work?
