We are using BRMS to backup the Notes Servers on our 2 iSeries 820 systems.
Each system runs 7 servers, using 5 GB memory and 1.2TB DASD. All user mail
files are replicated to other system for failover. While we could shutdown
servers, we chose to use the "Save While Active" feature for Domino.

Once the concepts of BRMS are understood, it is not a real complicated product.
I definitely recommend the BRMS class before installation if at all possible.
Using a good BRMS consultant for the initial implementation is also a good
idea, even a must if you cannot attend a class.

Any support we have required has been prompt and courteous . The backup process
can be scheduled, to run automated. We have a 3494 tape Library with 6 drives,
allowing us to run 6 save jobs concurrently. Restores of Notes data still needs
a little work on the user interface side, but it isn't tough. The V5R1 version
has GUI, but there are some limitaions in using the GUI for complex
environments, but I am sure they are being addressed soon.
