Dale,

I have a V4R5 Express Client connecting to several V4R4 machines (one was
even at V4R3 until three days ago) and I have no problems at all. The V4R5
client has the latest service pack. The only thing we have a problem with
is Management Central, although we had that problem with the V4R4 client as
well. (I think this is more to do with our very complicated network setup
than anything....). I use Ops Nav quite a bit, as well as 5250 (I assume
3250 was a typo) emulation. I usually do straight FTP rather than a Client
Access transfer, but I'm fairly sure I used it once (converting to CSV I
think) with no problems.

I can't speak for the V5R1 client, haven't tried it.

Will a client (PC) running C/A Express V5R1 or V4R5 connect to a machine
running OS V4R4 ?

Need only basic functions, 3250 display and file transfer. Ops Nav
functionality is unimportant.

TIA,

Dale
