The application I helped develop involved a whole bunch (say 100) Palms, each carried by the foreman of a construction crew. It was used to track construction worker timesheets. The foreman would plug his Palm into a cellphone out at the construction site and dial a phone number with a modem in front of an AS/400 at the central site to report the work done (by ftp'ing the data to the AS/400) and to get info about the next job, etc. How do I do that with DB2 everyplace? Did I miss something and charged my client for something that he could get off the shelf?
