Dan, If they interrupted the process, it is highly possible that something (obviously) did not end properly. Not being an expert on what happens when writing to tape, I have seen something similar to this years back with a tape cartridge being removed and the tape not understanding where it ended, etc. An end of file has got to be done, ditto for an end of tape. So something might have gotten corrupted there. I guess just be sure they reinit the tape when it comes up to be used again...
