Hello, we are still at V4R5, but we are using old CA versions, especially DOS PC-Support. After our scratch reload, we had problems getting these DOS PC's to connect. We talked with IBM and found, that eventually parts of that old PC-Support aren't delivered with the V4R5 CDs. When we installed our 820, we took all the stuff from the 620. Naturally, we lost that stuff through installing the OS from CD. I even had to borrow a program in QSYS2 from another 820 installation (job QACSOTP failed with missing object - and it is kind of a login-server for DOS PC-support). I guess it might be even worse with V5R1. I would make sure that your old CA-Versions don't do an automatic update after V5R1 installation and would thoroughly test those old machines.
