Is the archive server the reason for the slowdown when this is showing in the status bar?:
Connect: Host ads.midrange.com contacted. Waiting for reply.
That sounds like a different beast altogether. I have had slow response times before with the archive.midrange.com page trying to load. But with the above message, it didn't seem to me that archive.midrange.com was involved. I see this message with www.midrange.com as well.
