I just asked about that ACCPTH(*YES) question because of some recoveries in
the past. After waiting for a week for some access paths to rebuild we
always save with ACCPTH(*YES). Takes a little more time in the save, and a
little more tape. But who can afford a week of downtime?

yes. We do a more or less complete backup of user libraries every night. No
user jobs or batch processing is active
at backup time, but we don't go to restricted state for backup and have our
own backup jobs. We had to restore library
after library ( I wrote a CL program that read the dsptap output and did
rstlib in that sequence).
The restore itself took 12 hours for 100GB on a 3590 tape drive (2
cartridges). We only lost some objects from Q* libraries.
Luckily, after the friday night backup, only some reorg jobs had run on the
weekend so we had a consistent file system.

Regards,

Oliver
