Well I try to tell management & the users that what we need is not a way to do the same work that they have been doing for countless years, transcribing data from documents like a glorified typist, but find a way for the computer to do the drudgery work ... scan it in from whatever form it comes to us, then a human being clean up the parts that could not be automated, due to bad handwriting, smudges etc. in other words rethink what we are doing based on evolving technology capabilities. But we end up with doing the same old thing on a replacement user interface because of pricing reasons.
