  • Subject: RE: CPYTOIMPF, CPYTOSTMF - create fixed length records with comma for EOR?
  • From: Chris Bipes <chris.bipes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
  • Date: Sat, 24 Mar 2001 20:34:28 -0800

Try this and let us know if it works.

CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(XYZZ)
          TOSTMF('\HOME\WEIRD.STRMF')
          RCDDLM(',')
          DTAFMT(*FIXED)
          STRDLM(*NONE)
          FLDDLM('')

Original Message:

Essentially, the customer is looking for a file to look something like this:
Record1,Record2,Record3, Record4, Record5, Record6
So, 1.) am I correct in believing that fixed length and comma delimited are
almost contrary terms? and 2.) any ideas on how to accomplish this?  Thanks.
