how automated does this need to be? Client Access will
transfer a file to pc in a fixed length format. Also, since
cpytoimpf works well for comma delimited, you can use it,
then a pc pgm to convert to fixed length. I use a shareware
pc product from Bruce Guthrie, originally written for
Dept of Commerce. http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lakes/2414
Also, you might just output a db400 file, with the commas,  and ftp it?
