There have been detailed discussions of this on past MIDRANGE_L threads ... I not remember which titles, but you would do well to search the archives to see if you can nail down the clues. I remember for example a person who taught an IBM class relating a story from a former Microsoft employee regarding what Microsoft tried to do & what the NT servers were unable to replicate. I think you would have a hard time getting such a chain of people to swear to this under most circumstances, but perhaps the lawyers could get sworn statements for SHOWCASE to use to counter what is probably a knee-jerk reaction publicity stunt by marketing people who do not understand the technical details, nor want to explore them. If you can show to the lawyers for Microsoft marketing lhat this Microsoft story runs counter to the technical realities of their failed coversion effort, then SHOWCASE will be off the hook, and the pie will be back in Microsoft's face, where it belongs. > Microsoft vehemently denies that they have any AS/400s anymore > (or use any applications that run on AS/400s), > and is pressing hard to get a correction or a retraction in SHOWCASE. > Please contact me if you have any useful information regarding > the validity of the rumors, or if you know them to be false.
