I'm glad we have the same hymn book. <grin>  The library a file is in is
part of its identification for me, so I covered that in number one.  I
haven't had to bother with multi-format files in a coon's age, so I forgot
that one - sorry.  As for the darned PTF thing, IMHO the effort they've put
into issuing PTF's for all these years could have created a parameter or
switch somewhere long ago so we wouldn't HAVE to deal with PTF's.  I mean,
come on, this has affected every release since V2R3 - can't they take a
bloody hint?

  Amen!  Although I do check the activation group once in a while, your 
list is 99.99% of the reasons to look @ that screen (although I'd like to 
add looking @ the library and the format name of the files is useful, too).

  The PTF s/b made permanent and let the activation group view be PTFable.
