I have seen it happening with faulty LAN equipment (transceivers, hubs,
routers etc.)
Normal traffic will not go through but "keep-alive" frames do, so from
system point of view everything is OK - hence no messages.

Thanks for the help !

That's the WEIRD thing - NO messages ANYWHERE until I start "killing" the
control
unit(s)... Nothing in QSYSOPR, Problem Log, etc.

We are current on V4R1 PTF's - I know we should get off V4R1 :-)

They say there wasn't any obvious power blip (they said this before I ask,
there
had been problems...

I am ordering a UPS for this equipment area !
