Chuck:
When you create the lind for the ethernet lin, use link speed *MAX, I think
the default is 10M (this assumes you will be installing a 10/100 card and
your hub/switch is 100M).

Importance: High

Hi Folks,

I come from a Token Ring background. Last job we had a 530 with 2 T/R
NIC's. Here I just installed an Ethernet NIC last week in anticipation
of our move to Frame Relay from Leased Lines.

Are there any parameters of particular importance to CHANGE from the
defaults for an Ethernet line? I know we found some when we did the
Token Ring setup and others after the fact.

Ditto for changing the controllers from the leased lines to Frame Relay
(we are running the Perle 494E's) ?

TIA !

Chuck
