Howdi,

I'm converting more programs over to RPG/ILE, but am having trouble with the
PSSR routine.

This is a self-contained PSSR I use in normal RPG:

*PSSR BEGSR
          MOVELX'000000' HEX 3
          MOVELX'00' HEX0 1
          MOVELX'01' HEX1 1
HEX CAT HEX0:0 ERRBY
HEX CAT HEX1:0 ERRST
HEX CAT HEX1:0 ERRMC
          CALL 'QMHMOVPM'
          PARM ERRKY 4
          PARM '*DIAG' ERRMT 10
          PARM ERRMC 4
          PARM '*' ERRPQ 10
          PARM ERRST 4
          PARM ERRBY 4
          CALL 'QMHRSNEM'
          PARM ERRKY
          PARM ERRBY
          ENDSR

Before, the PSSR caught all the errors and the CL wrapper presented them
nice and neatly.

However, in ILE, I believe that the modules ignore the APIs and 'percolate'
the error messages up the stack until the entry module specifies a PSSR.

When I converted programs 6 months ago I RTFM and got confused. I think the
modules percolated the messages fine, and then I had to resend the excps 2
or 3 places up the stack, using the MOVPM and not RSNEM. And I had to change
the CL to cope with that.

What is the best method for an equivalent PSSR routine when you are using a
bunch of ILE programs (that each have a single module)?

TIA,

Brendan Bispham
