Heck, at home I barely have space on my desk for one monitor!

One great feature of X-based workstations (like Linux) is
multiple virtual displays that you can easily switch between
using one physical monitor.  You can have one virtual display
with an editor open to your work, another with help text,
a third running Minesweeper, etc.  It's something I really
miss here at work - the WNT desktop is horrible in comparison.
