I need some help with the above configuration; can not get it to work and have
tried all I know.

AS/400 at V3R2, 2613 com adapter (2 port), to 5821 modem set for 9600 leased to
5821 modem attached to 5294.

The settings on the 5294 are:
field 1: 00
field 2: C1
field 3: 0110000000

The line description is setup as SDLC, 9600 NRZI - yes, duplex - full.
The controller is *RWS, *SDLC, EXCID = 045000C1, stnadr - C1
The device is *DSP, class - *RMT, type - 3180, Model 1.

I have tried every combination I can think of on the AS/400( NRZI on and off,
duplex full and half) and the phone company has verified the line 4 times
finding it setup incorrectly the first time.

Questions:
How do you set up the 5821s for this environment? We have them set per the
small user's guide but it does not explain how you set them for primary and
secondary modems. I also tried to 7855 modems set for leased 9600 to no
   avail.
When we vary on the line, the TD and RD lights flash momentarily on both
5821's and then the line fails in about 30 seconds.

If any one can provide any insight as soon as possible, it will be greatly
appreciated.
Bill
