Version 4.4 IPL steps

Ever since we upgraded from 4.3 to 4.4 the final step of our IPL takes 15-20 
minutes.  By final step I mean the LCD display on the processor changes to the 
"B" indicator and then it's 15-20 minutes before I see a signon screen.  under 
4.3 that was never longer than about 2-3 minutes.  Does anyone know what might 
be going on after the SRC D900xxx changes to "B" status ?
