I agree that raw statistics can lead the reader to pretty much wherever the statistician wants; and had hoped that my reference to the 8% being misleading, as it includes all English orders, as being somewhat a disclaimer for that statistic. Obviously my hopes have been dashed... Since the date format is simply the default, and every job on the system can select its own format, this is most likely just another piece of useless statistics that I should have resisted putting on the net.
