I have been told by our IBM support that they will not apply unless you IPL
using the following command:

PWRDWNSYS OPTION(*IMMED) RESTART(*YES) IPLSRC(B)

They have informed us that a typical daily IPL will not apply the PTFs.

Seems to be true so far.  Hope this helps!

Hmm... I installed the latest CUM CDs for my AS/400
on V3R7M0 and had them set to install on IPL.

This morning I come in, GO PTF, display PTF and see
they are not applied, and still set to install at IPL.  Our
machine IPLs every Friday as part of the backup
GO BACKUP, and QSYSOPR messages show that
yes, it did in fact do an IPL on Friday night.

Do I have to do a manual IPL to get these PTFs applied?
