        The problem that I have with using the ENDOPT(*LEAVE) option is that it 
is not advisable to use the same tape for multiple backups.  It is much better 
to use one tape per day and be certain that the unused tapes are moved 
off-site.   
        As for saving your file while it active - if you have a exclusive lock 
on the object all day, you can not save it.   Using the "Save while Active" 
feature is a good idea but there must be a moment in time (albeit a small one 
depending on how your set your command up) when the Save can get a shot at it.
