We've had our 170 V4R3 since February this year and I have just checked our
cleaning log. 27 cleans so far and no media errors. We use different density
tapes on occasion but mainly Imation MLR1-26GB. For me this is the best tape
drive I've used.

Our cleaning tape is an IBM .25" Dry Process Cleaning Cartridge, reorder
no.59H4366

If you are going through them like crazy and from other responses to this
message you may have a duff drive - Call it in.
