Hi,

Thanks for the replies, please excuse my general uneasyness with the
PTF process. But because it 'messes' with system internals I'd rather
not take guesses so at to get it right the first time.

I hope they won't forget to actually include with the CD's the
instructions they refer to. It would be a very welcome move.

I'll be doing the install off the second CD again this week-end.

I did search the knowledgebase, cover letters, etc. where I found an
item which is a general recomendation to use go ptf 8 to install ptf's
supplied on media by IBM. Nothing specific on installing group ptf's
including the y2k one yet. 
I'll keep looking though.
