Jon Paris knows how. Part of the incantation that I missed was that the DDM server has to be started. STRHOSTSVR *ALL doesn't start it until you change the QATOCSTART file Also, go to the IBM.SOFTWARE.VARPG newsgroup site and ask. The people there are helpful, but more impotantly the people there are in charge and need to know this isn't as simple as they think it is. I say this because they are responsive and good. (I wish I could be more helpful. I can only say seeing these AS/400 experts asking questions is making me feel better. I thought I was the only one that ever had trouble getting it going the first time.)
