We have far too many date-driven apps to risk what could >happen if turning the date backwards actually messed something up, even on >this development box. This is exactly how we did our testing. We purchased a dedicated S20 2-way system with 230Gb of DASD to do the testing. We still have some more Y2K to do, then the machine will become a dedicated testing and development system. We also put the machine on a dedicated Y2K network with some other Y2K systems, with it's own hub and PC's. We in no way allowed any network communication between the Y2K machines and the production network.
