Reverse ARP is a mechanism to assign an IP address to a system that does
not have one. If I'm not mistaken its covered by an RFC. A client (such
as a PC) uses the MAC address of the server and sends a request that it
assign an itself an IP address. The server (in this case, hopefully, the
AS/400) then assigns itself that IP address. Once it has an IP address
you can telnet, ftp, http, etc. to it. Would be nice to be able to do
this on a new AS/400 instead of having to fiddle with the lame serial
connection from PC5250.
