It will read the record that POSDBF makes the current record. The reason
you see this behavior is that the input file for OPNQRYF is (must be)
opened with the SHARED(*YES) attribute. This means that there is only one
file cursor, and since the file remains open until you close it with the
CLOF command, the cursor stays at end of file where CPYFRMQRYF left it. If
you don't need to update the original data, why not just read your
CPYFRMQRYF output file? It will be quicker because only sequential access
is required.
