RE: UIM Conditional Menu Options

fixed

Hi Simon,

Your example did the trick. The syntax in the book did not use the double
quotes.

Thanks,
Erick

Hello Erick,

A sample of your code would be helpful however this should not be too
difficult. You need to
define a UIM condition to control the menu item.

:COND NAME='LIBEXIST' EXPR='CHKOBJ("QSYS","*LIB")'.

Then you reference that condition on the menu item.

:MENUI COND='LIBEXIST' HELP=... ACTION=... OPTION=2.Do something

Be careful with the trailing full-stop (period) and I have found the UIM
parser to be sensitive
to extraneous spaces in comma-separated values -- note the above example
does not have spaces
before or after the comma in the CHKOBJ function.

Regards,
Simon Coulter.
