What if you set the Audit Journal to MNGRCV(*SYSTEM)... any drawbacks?

Johnny -

Security auditing captures this information. CP records are deposited in
the
QAUDJRN journal whenever a user profile is changed.

Here are some examples of CP entries that have been logged on our system
(Command DSPAUDJRNE command was used to extract this information from
the
audit journal receivers):

CP A JEP DTH CRT Y Y
#PRODUSER *GRPPRF *YES *USER *ENABLED
1999-05-24-13.24.14.611728

In this example user JEP created user profile DTH at 1:24PM on May 24,
1999

CP A KEG ARCSFTP CHG
*NO
1999-05-21-08.30.39.353152

In this example user KEG changed profile ARCSFTP at 8:30AM on May 21,
1999

For these changes to be logged define the QAUDLVL system value as
follows:

        System value . . . . . : QAUDLVL
        Description . . . . . : Security auditing level

        Auditing Auditing
        options options

        *SECURITY
        *SYSMGT

You will also have to implement regular security audit journal
maintenance
procedures to control the size of the QAUDJRN journal receivers your
system.
The AS/400 security manual explains how to do this.

I hope this helps....
